March has been particularly kind to me. I've received three acceptance letters on prose and poetry pieces that will be published soon.

Special thanks to Poetic Reveries, The Mixtape Review, and Retrograde Review for putting my words on your pages. I'm eternally grateful.

Acceptance #1: On April 5th (almost two years to the date of my grandfather's passing), Poetic Reveries will be publishing the poem I wrote for him the day he died. On that day, I sat in the courtyard garden of my school and wrote with my students. It was a heavy, but beautiful day, and this poem serves as a reminder.

Acceptance #2: This spring, The Mixtape Review will be publishing a hybrid piece of mine titled "Gloaming." It's a crossword puzzle-style essay about the complexities of aging. The cool thing about this experimental lit mag is that you have to submit your piece with a song, so I'm excited for you all to see what I choose as a companion for this very personal prose piece.

Acceptance #3: "When Memory Is a Chasm," is a concrete poem I wrote about my husband and our dog Penny. On March 29th, Retrograde Review will share it with the world. It's obviously special subject matter, but it's even more important because Lance inadvertently helped me write it. Mostly, I can't wait for him to see it. He'll probably groan. :)

And lastly, I have to thank a colleague and writer friend of mine who has shared her own brilliant work with me as well as countless compliments and endless encouragement. Thank you for supporting me, Stolle. Your poetry and prose have deeply inspired me and shaped me into the WRITER I am today. ;)
